Dickens, Charlotte's Obituary
Charlotte Dickens, 77, of Edmond, Oklahoma,
passed away on June 5, 2025, after a long and
courageous battle with brain cancer. She passed
peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Charlotte was born on July 16, 1947, in San
Angelo, Texas, to John C. Littlefield and Rita
Littlefield Foster. She was formerly married to
William Bryant Dickens, and together they had
three children.
Until her passing, Charlotte was a devoted Gigi
and guardian to her granddaughters, Mykayla and
Madelyn - two of the greatest joys of her life.
Charlotte dedicated 30 years of her professional
life to Carter Healthcare as Marketing Director
and retired in 2022.
She will be remembered for her resilience and
authenticity. Known for her forthright nature, you
always knew where you stood with her.
Charlotte’s tenacious spirit inspired those around
her to persevere, and her candid conversations and
genuine personality left a lasting impression on all
who knew her. Above all, she will be remembered
for the deep and unwavering love she gave to her
family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Dena Karol Alvis
and David Bryant Dickens; five grandchildren; her
sisters, Sharon Suess and Carol Knowles and her
husband, Bob; and many dear friends and
extended family. She also leaves behind her
beloved dog, Bella.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter,
Casey Diane Dickens; her father, John C.
Littlefield; and her mother, Rita Littlefield Foster.
A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held this
summer in Edmond, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her
memory to Beautiful Restoration Ministry in
Edmond, Oklahoma, or the American Cancer
Society.
Charlotte will be laid to rest at Floral Haven
Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
