Charlotte Elizabeth Hicks, wife of the late Carl Arthur Hicks and long-time Broken Arrow resident passed away October 31, 2013 at the age of 76. She was a 19 year survivor of ovarian cancer but sadly lost her battle on the fourth Read Obituary

Lit a candle in memory of Charlotte E Hicks
I will always remember grandma Shorty yelling at us kids to get out of her garden. I will never forget the times she was there for us kids no matter how bad she hurt or how tired she was from lack of sleep. She was always in the kitchen canning and cooking no matter what. We would offer to help and when we would she said get out you're doing it wrong! I learned so much from Meemaw. I learned how to be strong, learned how to take care of others, and learned how to cook. She loved her puzzles also so I got that down. She is and always will be special and an inspiration to us all. She will never be forgotten. She is with Gpa now and is pain free and cancer free. She wants us to be happy and not weep. She is my hero. Cheradan and I love you Gma Shorty!
