Charlotte Jean Parker's Obituary
Charlotte Jean Parker passed into the arms of her Savior on October 23, 2025, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, at the age of 82.
Charlotte was born on December 20, 1942, in Springfield, Missouri, to George and Ethel Bennett. From an early age, Charlotte’s heart belonged to Jesus—she invited Him into her life at just five years old, beginning a lifelong walk of faith that shaped everything she did.
On August 9, 1964, in Republic, Missouri, Charlotte married the love of her life, Richard Parker. Together, they built a beautiful marriage centered on faith, family, and shared adventure.
A gifted teacher and lifelong learner, Charlotte spent many years in the classroom sharing her love of knowledge and compassion with her students. Later, she found joy as a school librarian, nurturing a love of reading in generations of children. Her own love of books never faded—she could often be found with a warm smile and a good story in hand.
Charlotte had an adventurous spirit and a deep curiosity about the world. She visited all fifty states, including Alaska and Hawaii, and even traveled abroad to Europe and Greece. But no matter where she went, her heart was always at home with the people she loved.
She had a gift for friendship and community—always up for lunch with her church friends, quick with a kind word, and sensitive to the needs of others. Charlotte was accepting, generous, peaceful, and full of joy. Her faith was steady, her laughter contagious, and her presence comforting to everyone around her.
Above all, Charlotte was devoted to her family. As “Nana,” she poured endless love and encouragement into her children and grandchildren, celebrating every milestone and offering gentle wisdom along the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild Holly Ann.
She is survived by her husband Richard, son Kyle Parker, daughter Danielle Skalnik and husband Lance, son Kevin Parker, grandchildren Ryan Skalnik and wife Courtney, Rachel Skalnik, Solomon Skalnik, Kennedy Parker, great-grandchild Luca Skalnik, along with numerous friends and loved ones.
