Charlotte W. Work's Obituary
Charlotte W. Work was born October 26, 1918 in Pottawatomie, Oklahoma and passed away December 14, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Charlotte was the fourth of six children born to Taylor and Pearl Conley. She attended Wanette public schools in Oklahoma. After graduating high school Charlotte married John S. Work on November 24, 1941 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple lived in multiple cities throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico; eventually settling in Oklahoma. Charlotte was a faithful and devout follower of Jesus and his teachings. She always wore a big smile and had a good word for one and all. Charlotte attended Ranch Acres Baptist Church. She was the past President of Baptist Women’s Auxiliary and the Garden Club. Charlotte loved traveling with her husband who was Superintendent for Williams Companies pipeline division. When she wasn’t traveling she enjoyed cooking, gardening and church activities. Her most special memories were the birth of her daughter; playing and lettering for the girls basketball team and she especially loved the time spent with her family and friends She always had a knack for making everyone in her company feel special. Anyone who came to visit her at home will remember her opening the door and saying “Come In This House.” Charlotte will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Charlotte is preceded in passing by her spouse John Work. She is survived by her daughter Gail Deatherage and numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Funeral Service will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
