Cheryl Coll-Gallup, 79, passed away on June 12, 2026, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Born on September 24, 1946, in Trion, Georgia, Cheryl was the beloved daughter of James Brown and Rachel Posey.
She lived a life marked by strength, independence, and determination. Cheryl was known for her organized nature, strong work ethic, and her ability to take charge of whatever task was before her.
Cheryl had a deep love for horses and enjoyed spending time riding whenever she had the opportunity. She also treasured traveling with friends and family, creating lasting memories through her many adventures.
Cheryl found great joy in teaching High School Math for 40 years. She retired from teaching in 2009 from Jenks High School. She loved sharing her knowledge with others and was very proud of being able to form and influence young minds about the joy of using and loving Mathematics.
Those who knew Cheryl will remember her as a strong-willed, caring woman who valued family, friendship, and living life on her own terms. Her presence, wisdom, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cheryl's legacy of strength, independence, and love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Micky Gallup, brothers Doug Brown and Bo Brown.
She is survived by her nieces Tracy Brown, Dorena Caraviello, Shannon Barlow, cousin Kenneth Hunter and wife Lynda, along with loved ones and friends.
