Cheryl Kay Donaghue , 70 passed away peacefully to be with her loving parents in heaven on July 12, 2018.It is with a heavy heart that we let you all know Cherie passed away this morning at 70 just a month shy of her 50th wedding anniversary to her husband, John A. Donaghue. As many of you might know this is a pain like no other and our family are only comforted by knowing what an incredible life she led and how many people, both family and friends that she touched.Cherie loved all of her family and friends equally and with all she had and it didn’t matter who you were in the family, It was like you were her very own son, daughter, brother or sister. The same could be said for all of her friends and those of her husband’s friends. They were all family to her. She loved with great passion and commitment and she showed such heart and strength through her struggles with breast and then bone cancer.She deeply loved all of her grandchildren…Taylor, Katie, Emily and Bryce and her values, character and memory will live on through them for generations to come.She will live in our hearts forever and we are all forever better having known her and been loved by her.She is survived by her husband of 49 years John A. Donaghue, children John M. Donaghue, Kristi M. Frank and Mark Hoff. Her grandchildren Taylor, Katie, Emily and Bryce. Her loving brother John Ricketts and loving sister Jeanette McKittrick. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members who will miss her love and support dearly.Any contributions can be made in Cherie’s name and honor to either the Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the Alzheimer’s Association Oklahoma Chapter.A Celebration of Life Service will be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, July 19, 2018, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.Cherie will be laid to rest 1:30 PM, Friday, July 20, 2018, in the Fort Scott National Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kansas.
