Cheryl Jean Kelley, 72, Social Worker passed away May 12, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. She was born June 17, 1942 in Oklahoma City, OK to Eugene Noah and Geneva Mae (Taylor) Wise.Cheryl worked at OKC Public Schools as an Elementary Teacher, Child Abuse Prevention Services which is now Family and Children’s services as director, Call Rape which is now part of DVIS as director, and helped start Shanti House in the 80’s which helped gay men w/ aids. She also spent a lot of time in the medical field helping her husband.Cheryl is survived by her husband, Mark Alan Kelley; daughter, Joy Lyn Kelley; son, Paul Douglas Kelley; granddaughter, Geneva Mae Brasher; grandson, Corbin Asher Kelley; daughter-in-law, Tonia Dawn Gist; honorary grandsons, Mason Harlan McCarthy, and Thomas Grey Gist. She was preceded in death by son, Phillip Eugene Kelley.Memorial Service will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 23rd, Community of Christ Church, Tulsa.For those who may be attending the service we ask that you do not wear black and bring a playful spirit.
