Christie Lea Gauthier's Obituary
Chrissie Lea (Barnes) Gauthier passed away Monday September 26th in Tulsa at the age of 49. She was born September 20th, 1973 to Ernest Neil Barnes and Susan Margaret (Briggs) Barnes in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chrissie went to school in Tulsa and graduated from East Central High School. Shortly after she met her husband, Greg Gauthier, and they married and went on to have two children. Chrissie worked as a bookkeeper for various advertising companies throughout the years. She enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Especially her three grandchildren who she loved and adored.
Anyone that knew Chrissie could tell you she was outgoing, loud, friendly, and kind to everyone. She loved to cook for people and host parties and events, she loved to be the life of the party. She never met a stranger, she made a friend out of everyone she met. She always doted on her loved ones in their times of need. She will be missed so incredibly deeply by those who loved her.
Chrissie was preceded in her death by her father, Neil Barnes, and her granddaughter Ryan Elizabeth Eckhart.
She is survived by her husband Greg; her daughter, Meagan Eckhart, and her husband, John; her son Colby; her grandchildren, Cason, JW, and Parker; her mother Susan Barnes; her sister, Angie Dare and her husband David and two nieces, Ashley Branson and Brittany Mondier along with lots of other cousins and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to Valley Hope of Cushing in Chrissie’s memory would be appreciated.
Services will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Tulsa on Monday October 3rd, 2022 at 12:30pm. There will be a private viewing on Sunday October 2nd from 2-5pm for family only.
