Christie Ann Moore's Obituary
Christie Ann Moore, 30, of Owasso, passed peacefully from this world on Monday, November 18, 2013. She was born on January 20, 1983 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Debbie Moore. Christie wanted to be a nurse, with hopes of eventually becoming a social worker. Her heart was happiest when she was helping others. Her world revolved around those that she loved. For Christie, every day was a fresh start. A day to cherish and live to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, having recently been to Boston, Baltimore, and Hawaii. Christie had unconditional love for all animals. Whether she was cuddling her own pet on the couch or rescuing a turtle from the middle of the road, she had a heart for all living things. She was so passionate about animals, that she once worked at the Tulsa Zoo. Christie was a very happy person, who always had a smile on her face. Some recent news brought her a lot of joy… she was so excited to be an aunt! Christie will be loved and missed by her parents, brother, Jeremy Moore, of Tulsa, Fiance, Erik DeShane, of Owasso, grandparents, George “J.G.” and Helen Moore, of Tulsa, future in-laws, Rick and Susan DeShane, of Owasso, and Roger Starnes and Tere (DeShane) Niles, of Plano, Texas, and her beloved pets; dog, Kingston, and four cats, Leo, Nakita, Milo and Scooby. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eric Moore, and grandparents, Don and Connie Worthy. The family requests memorial donations may be made in Christie’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, since she was a childhood cancer survivor herself. The family also asks that you wear bright colors to the service.A Heart Of Gold A heart of gold stopped beating, Two shiny eyes at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best, God knows you had to leave us, But you didn’t go away alone, For part of us went with you, The day he took you home. To some you’ll be forgotten, And to others just a part of the past But to us who loved and lost you, Your memory will always last.
