Christopher Thomas Chappell's Obituary
Christopher Thomas Chappell was called to heaven on October 9th, 2011 at the age of 55. He was born to Carroll and Sue Chappell on May 18, 1956, in Tulsa, OK. He graduated from Hillsborough High School where he wrestled on the Varsity team. Following graduation, Chris joined the Air Force. In 1973 Chris met the love of his life, Joyce (LaRue) Chappell. They were married on August 1, 1975 in Biloxi, MS. In 1978, Chris and Joyce moved to Broken Arrow where they raised their three sons. He attended TJC where he received two degrees. Chris was an avid sports fan and loved coaching his son's football and baseball teams as well as supporting them ringside on the wrestling mats. Chris worked at UPS as a preloader for 33 years along with being an Electronic Technician for B & S Light Industries for 29 years. He loved taking weekend drives with Joyce in his Camaro and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Joyce, children: Christopher and wife Emily, William and wife Jennifer, Thomas; grandchildren: Brodey, C.T. and Kinley; mother Sue; brothers: Jeffrey, Michael and wife Deena; sister, Carroll Sue Culver; nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Carroll Chappell.
