Engman, Christopher Fredrick's Obituary
Christopher Fredrick Engman, age 51, was born on August 27, 1974, in San Antonio, Texas, to James and Carol Engman while Jim was in the Air Force. He passed away at home on March 27, 2026, in Yukon, Oklahoma.
His parents returned to their home state of Minnesota, eventually settling in the city of Blaine, where he rode his bike and played peewee baseball and football. He played accordion competitively traveling to Duluth and Cedar Rapids. He also played the violin and trumpet at school. He practiced dance and baton performing recitals and marching in parades.
A job change for his father, brought Chris to Oklahoma, where he spent his high school years in Kellyville. He competed in Speech and Drama and studied German. The year the Berlin wall came down he went to Germany with his high school class and stayed with a host family.
He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in computer science.
He moved to Oklahoma City and worked at a la mode appraisal, Farmers Insurance, and transitioned to Zurich as the IT Change Manager.
He liked video games and role playing with his many friends.
Christopher is survived by his parents; brothers Seth (Angela) and Caleb; aunts Margaret (James) Ricci and Michelle Engman; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Bill and Colleen Engman, Fred and Faye Sprecker; brother, James Engman, Jr.; and niece, Tara Engman.
A gathering to celebrate Christopher’s life will be held at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Family Center on April 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This will be a time to come together, share memories, and enjoy food in honor of Chris’s life. Dress casually.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
