Cindy Gale Morrison's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cindy Gale (Riba) Morrison, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 18, 1954, and departed this world from Tulsa on July 13, 2024. Cindy will be forever missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Cindy was born to parents, Coleman, and Belva (Radford) Riba. She graduated from Grove High School in 1972, where she served as cheer captain and was homecoming queen her senior year. Cindy moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma after graduation and worked in student housing at OSU and she was a lifelong Cowboys fan. She returned to the Tulsa area in the summer of 1978 and continued to live in Tulsa and Broken Arrow for the remainder of her life.
Cindy became a mother on June 8, 1976, to son Brent. On November 18, 1978, she married Darrell Morrison and gained an 8-year-old daughter, Chrissy. Then May 12, 1980, they completed their family with the birth of another son, Greg.
Cindy worked as an administrative assistant with several companies over the years, Yuba Heat Transfer, OGCI, Deluxe Check Printers and Besco Graphics. She also worked for Broken Arrow Public Schools in Child Nutrition and sold Tupperware for a time.
Family was incredibly important to Cindy. She was a soccer mom, basketball coach’s wife, a Broken Arrow Pride aunt, and a Union and BA grandmother. She loved all the kids and supported them as much as she could. Family time was also very valuable to her. Cindy loved spending time with her entire family, whether it was holidays, birthday parties or just a cookout at someone’s house, Cindy was there.
Cindy enjoyed attending live theater shows, whether it was a touring Broadway production or local shows. In addition to that, she would attend concerts or go see local bands whenever possible. She enjoyed traveling and would go as much as she could, always ready for the next adventure life may present to her.
Cindy’s faith and belief in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was extremely important to her. She was a member of Heritage BA for many years. She was a strong believer in the power of prayer and prayed for everyone, whether she knew them personally or not. Cindy was a true light in this world, and she will be forever missed by all who knew her.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Coleman and Belva Riba, her husband, Darrell Morrison, her sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Jeff Thompson, and sister, Janice Lapham.
She is survived by her children, Chrissy Crites of Broken Arrow, Brent Morrison of Claremore, Greg and Kristy Morrison of Broken Arrow; mom, Helen Riba, brother and sister-in-law, Reese and Louise Riba, all of Evans, Georgia; granddaughters: Maggie Francis, Breanna and Rachael Crites, Bailey, Anberlyn, and Parker Morrison; Great Grandchildren: Bryston and Dixie Emerson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly.
A public visitation will be held on what would have been Cindy's 70th birthday: Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, at Floral Haven Funeral Home: 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.

Any independent florists may deliver flowers directly to Floral Haven Funeral Home by 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024, for them to be set out and properly displayed for visitation.
A funeral service to honor the life of Cindy will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, located at 6500 S 129th E Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012, with Pastor Chris Symes officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 PM, immediately after conclusion of the chapel service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Faith.
