Claire Messick's Obituary
Claire Marjorie Russ Messick February 27, 1934- July 29 2023
As we as a family say goodbye, all in a different way, each one of us will travel the departure on similar yet very different paths. Death teaches us about loss but mostly about living; life is short but beautiful; even though time is measured, there is enough, if you pay attention; if you use it wisely, life isn't perfect; look for the good and be grateful for each day we are given. Today I remember and honor the woman that I called mom. The woman who made me laugh, scream, cry, throw things but somehow in it all I loved her, loved her with my whole heart and I stand here and say I forgave you of everything that was ever needing forgiveness
I've shed many tears that mom is gone, but now it's time to smile because she has lived. She shared her heart and left a lasting part of her with each of us to live on forever. Though we can't see her our hearts are full of the love that we have shared. We can be happy for tomorrow because she was part of our yesterday. We can't focus only that she is gone but we CAN cherish her memory and let it live on. Thinking of mom and what she would do; I smile, love, give and continue to walk through. No more grieving for I know she is free
