Clairese E. Cook Cunningham's Obituary
Clairese (Bettye) Cunningham went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2010 after battling Dementia and Alzheimer's for a decade. She was born on June 13, 1921 to Clarence and Edna Pearl Cook in Fort Smith Arkansas. Bettye was preceded in death by her husband Paul T. Cunningham (2008), her parents, and sister Hazel 'Iris' Cook Lewis. Bettye and Paul were married sixty-four years. They had one son, Bruce M. Cunningham. She was an executive secretary in Tulsa until 1986 and was employed by Jones and Laughlin Supply, Charles Wheatley, and Franklin Supply. Bettye was a member of Desk and Derrick serving two presidential terms. Bettye is survived by her son Bruce and his wife Sharolette, two granddaughters; Sarah Foley, Carrie Williams and her husband Carley and three great grandchildren; Alison Foley, and Connor and Caraline Williams. Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday October 27, 2010 in the Chapel of Floral Haven Funeral Home with interment to follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
