Rainwater, Clara Sue's Obituary
Clara Sue Rainwater (née Hucke), 90, passed away peacefully on
April 12, 2026.
Clara was born in Bell, California, and raised in Dennis, Kansas.
She later made her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she built a
life centered around family, care for others, and strong community
ties.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sue and Clair Hucke;
her sister, Barbara McMillan and Bob McMillan; her husband,
Glen Rainwater; and her daughters, Megan and Glenda.
Clara is survived by her loving daughter, Erin Casillas and
husband Mike of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her son, James Rainwater of
Tulsa, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Tiana Casillas of Tulsa,
Oklahoma; Gabe Casillas of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; and her
great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Rentie. She is also survived by her
siblings and extended family: Gene and Debbie Hucke of
Owasso, Oklahoma; Pat and Barbara Hucke of Parsons, Kansas;
Laura and Dean Hummer of Parsons, Kansas; and Bill Hucke of
Tulsa, Oklahoma, along with many cherished nieces and
nephews.
Clara worked as a bank teller, homemaker, and house manager
for individuals with special needs. She had a deep compassion for
others and a special heart for advocating for those who needed
extra care and support.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in time spent with
those she loved. Clara enjoyed square dancing, bowling, cooking,
going to the casino, and taking cruises. She treasured trips to Las
Vegas and Tunica, Mississippi, camping adventures with Erin and
Mike, and a recent trip to Colorado. She also loved getting her
hair and nails done and spending time with friends and family.
Clara will be remembered for her kindness, compassion,
generosity, and loving spirit. She had a strong will and stood firmly
for what she believed was right, especially when it came to her
children.
Her family will always hold close the memories she
created—stories of working at her father’s grocery store, her
playful saying, “this is the pause that refreshes,” and the warmth
in her voice as she told her children she loved them “a bushel and
a peck and a hug around the neck.” She often sang “You Are My
Sunshine,” a song that will forever echo in the hearts of those who
knew her.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, at
Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at
12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, at Floral Haven. A committal
service will follow in the Floral Haven Chapel. There will be no
graveside service.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
