Clarence Ray "C. R." Coleman's Obituary
Clarence Ray Coleman was born on July 13, 1935, in Dustin Oklahoma to Elsie I. Coleman (Baxter) and Cecil C. Coleman. He died on April 25, 2023, at 87 years old, 3 months short of his 88th birthday. Clarence was active in the U.S. Navy on the USS Boxer from June 1953 - June 1956 as a 3rd class petty officer. On April 16 1956 he graduated to Aviation Boatswain's Third Class. Shortly after the Navy he became a very successful electrical contractor and enjoyed many hobbies such as teaching electrician classes and singing for a local radio station.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Tony Coleman of Henryetta, Terry Coleman and his wife, Anita of Broken Arrow, Scott Stout of Dayton, Ohio; Lindsey Humphrey and her husband, Joseph of Broken Arrow, Clayton Coleman and his wife, Nicole of Broken Arrow; his grandchildren, Katrina, Anthony, Terrance, Amanda, Allan, and Karyn children of Tony; Kenneth & Dwight children of Terry; Trinity, Joseph (JJ), and Leland children of Lindsey; Colton & Allison children of Clayton, as well as many great-grandchildren. He had two late siblings, Bill Coleman, and Charles Coleman; their children are left to cherish his memories as well.
Clarence was a father of five but a dad to many others. He never knew a stranger and welcomed any and everyone into his life with open arms. He always had a positive impact on everyone he encountered and loved life as much as he loved being with friends and family every chance given.
There will be a viewing at Floral Haven, Broken Arrow Wednesday. Mal 3. 2023 from 5-70m His funeral service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at 12:30 pm at Floral Haven Cemetery, Broken Arrow with Pastor Steve Andrews officiating.
