Mr C. Birch Pontious was our neighbor across the street. He was always one to joke around and make you laugh. His wife Elenore was his love making it 60 years married. They were the cutest couple. He l9ved to sit and listen to her play the piano. Birch enjoyed coming to our bbqs and sharing time with all our family. His lalents eere many and his stories would entertain you for hours. My son Steve loved him too and enjoyed the books he published. Birch you will be missed but happy you are with Elenor again. Love Donald and Ann Hayes

Birch was a colorful guy! We both worked at the Mass Mutual Agency and officed next to each other for a time. We became friends.

He had an interesting way of starting conversations that made you wonder " where is this headed?" However the humor would soon come through.

He loved his Eleanor.

He named a sheriff in one of his books after me. I felt honored.

He will be missed. I'm glad he was part of my life.
