Clarence James Van Sandt, 71 of Oologah, Oklahoma, passed from this life surrounded by his loved ones in Owasso, Oklahoma. Clarence was born December 21, 1951 to Lonzo and Ella Mae (Reed) Van Sandt, in Boise, Idaho. He graduated from Bentonville High School, in Arkansas. He attended Northeastern Oklahoma College, Miami, Oklahoma. Clarence was a police officer in Oakland, California and in Afton, Oklahoma. He was an entrepreneur. The majority of his working career he worked and owned a flooring company.
He has left behind: his children: Charity Van Sandt and significant other Jonathan Benson, Candice Bougetz and husband Jason, Christy Jacobson, Randy Curl and wife Mandy, and Clarence James "Jay" Van Sandt, II and significant other Chelsea; several grandchildren with one on the way; brothers: Bob Van Sandt, Gene Van Sandt, and Paul Van Sandt and wife Betty; sisters: Kathy Patton and husband Robert, and Skeeter Eades and husband Richard; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents; Lonzo and Ella Mae Van Sandt; brother Lonzo Van Sandt; sisters-in-law Skeet Van Sandt and Debbie Van Sandt; and grandson Clarence James Van Sandt, III.
Visitation will be held 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Monday March 27, 2023 at Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Celebration of Life service will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Graveside service will be held 12:30 PM, Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma.
