Claribel Rose McLaughlin's Obituary
Claribel Rose McLaughlin, 100, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on November 15th, 2024. She was born on October 8, 1924, in Fort Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Harvey L. Wilkins and A. Marie (Rose) Wilkins. She attended Fort Scott Public Schools and later worked as a bank bookkeeper.
Claribel was introduced to Charles Thomas (Tom) McLaughlin by one of his sisters and they later married on April 14, 1946, in Fort Scott, Kansas. They had 49 years together before his passing in 1995 and had raised two daughters.
Claribel was a member of the Eastern Star #133, Broken Arrow Chapter #140, White Shrine #8, Order of Amaranth #24 and Will Clark #7. She had been a member of Nogales Avenue Baptist Church.
Claribel was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She is survived by her two daughters: Cheryl Snow (Don) and Rosellen Havenstrite (Bill); four grandchildren: Misty Brownlee (John), Gregg Havenstrite (Audrey), Donnie Snow (Erica) and Ashley Hyatt (Micah); four great-grandchildren: Blake Argo, Kelsey and Hayle Brownlee and Dexter Snow; one great-great grandson Brody Argo and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Floral Haven’s Rose Chapel.
