Claudean Frizzell Thompson's Obituary
Claudean Frizzell Thompson was born at home to Mr. and Mrs. Claud Frizzell in Tamaha, OK on July 26, 1932. Claudean was the much loved “baby” of her family as she was 9 years younger than her only brother, Kenneth. After graduating from Stigler High School, Claudean soon began dating Max Thompson, they were married on November 3, 1951 and the couple made their home in Tulsa. Claudean was an avid card player, lover of old movies and collector of fine jewels. In addition, she was also a fabulous cook and loved to entertain her family and friends by preparing a fried feast of quail, pheasant, wild turkey, or any other game her husband Max brought home from his most recent hunt. Lifelong fans of the OSU Cowboys, the Thompsons traveled far and wide to support their team. Claudean even made the long trip to Tokyo to cheer on Barry Sanders and the rest of the Cowboys in the 1988 Coca-Cola Classic. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Frizzell, her husband, Max Thompson, her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Frizzell, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mr. Paul Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Thompson, Mr. Pershing Thompson, Mr. William Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Thompson, and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marcy Thompson. She is survived by her children Doug Thompson, Claudia Harveth and husband Mike., her three grandchildren, Adam Thompson, Amanda Whited and husband Scott, and Erin Hadwiger and husband August, her great-grandson, Raleigh Thompson Whited and her sister-in-law Glenda Thompson. She is also remembered with love by her many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Floral Haven from 12 pm to 8 pm with family to greet from 4 pm to 7 pm. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 10:00 am at Floral Haven, 6500 South 129th East Ave. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Oklahoma Methodist Manner, 4134 East 31st Street, Tulsa, OK 74135.
