Claudia Lyster's Obituary
Claudia Lyster, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 83.
Born on September 30, 1941 in Joplin, Missouri, she was the daughter of Claude and Eula Daniels.
Claudia's life was marked by her deep kindness, gentle spirit and unwavering love for her family. A woman of great warmth, she made a lasting impression on all who knew her with her thoughtful nature and calm demeanor. She had a passion for life that extended to her hobbies—particularly golf—which she enjoyed with a close-knit group of friends.
After a fulfilling career in the oil and gas industry, where she worked for Citgo Petroleum, Claudia retired and devoted her time to the things that brought her joy. She loved to travel, especially to the beach, where she could relax and take in the beauty of the ocean. Her travels were not only an escape, but a way to connect with the world around her and create memories with those she cherished most.
Claudia's legacy will live on through her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a devoted wife of 63 years to her husband, Larry, and her love for her family was her greatest joy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 7 siblings and son-in-law, Rick Magnuson. She leaves behind her son, David Lyster (Leslie), daughter, Julie Magnuson, grandkids Chad Coleman (Ashley), Cassidy Magnuson, Chance Lyster, Chandler Marsden (Matt) and Camryn Lyster and great-grandkids Ella-Mae Coleman, Rivvy Coleman and Maddox Marsden.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
A celebration of her life will be held on January 9th at 12:30pm at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow, OK
