Clay Arnold Dark Jr's Obituary
Clay Arnold Dark, Jr. (CJ) of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away from natural causes on December 20, 2020. CJ, son of Clay and Kathy (Koehler) Dark (long time residents of Attica, KS) was born on July 4, 1974 in Wichita, KS.
After graduating from Attica High School in 1992, CJ obtained his Bachelors of Science in Physician Assistant and General Studies from Wichita State University in 1998. After overcoming serious injuries suffered in a 2002 car accident, CJ also obtained his Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska in 2007. CJ served his entire career caring for others as a Physician Assistant. Prior to working for different medical practitioners in the Tulsa area, CJ lived and worked in Wichita, KS, Minneola, KS, and Medicine Lodge, KS.
CJ was an avid lover of music and all forms of entertainment. He was a gifted musician and had a contagious laugh and smile. He was also a devoted father who loved his boys unconditionally.
He was an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Broken Arrow. CJ's faith and generosity towards others were important parts of his life.
CJ will be deeply missed and is survived by his sons; Mason (age 13) and Cooper (age 12) Dark; his parents, Clay and Kathy Dark; his brother, Eric (wife Toni) Dark of Attica, KS; his brother, Cale (wife Ann) Dark of Overland Park, KS; his nephews and nieces: Ryan, Samantha, and Ava Dark (Attica, KS) and Shae and Carter Dark (Overland Park, KS); and his beloved girlfriend, Kirsten Stovall of Broken Arrow, OK.

Due to both priests at St. Anne’s testing positive for COVID as well as the area around Broken Arrow becoming a hot spot for positive cases we are asking that only family attend the services for CJ on January 22nd. This is not an easy decision and we’ve heard from lots of people wanting to make the trip and be there in person – but we don’t want to make a tough day any worse by getting more people sick un-necessarily.
St. Anne’s will live stream the service and you can find a link for that on their Facebook page (St. Anne Catholic Church) or go to their website – www.stanneba.org and find the link there.
The outpouring of support from everyone means more to us than we can describe and hope you understand how difficult this decision was to make.
