Loos, Clayton's Obituary
Clayton Craig Loos, 66, of Tulsa, passed peacefully of natural causes on April 22, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital.
Clayton was born on February 13, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, to Herbert Frederick Loos and Marjorie Jean Ringler Loos.
He graduated from Valley High School in Gilcrest, Colorado, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, and a Master’s Degree in Museum Studies from the University of Oklahoma in Norman.
Clayton was married to Annette Roughton from October 17, 1992, until 2013. He later married Lisa Tarrant on May 3, 2018, and they remained happily married until his passing.
He had a career in transportation truck driving before transitioning into corporate administration.
Clayton was a committed Christian and loved playing the bass guitar for churches he served. Some of his best memories were playing with friends and members of the Jamie Page Band and a band called Jerusalem. Throughout his life, Clayton served his community by playing bass guitar for multiple worship bands in Owasso and Collinsville, as well as Tulsa. His passion for music and his faith shone brightly in everything he did.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Marjorie Loos.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Tarrant of Tulsa, OK; his children, Katie Loos of Tulsa, OK, and Sam Loos of Owasso, OK; his stepchildren, Joseph Tarrant of Tulsa, OK, and Ashley Tarrant Zekauskas (Andrew) of Bixby, OK; his sister, Connie Evans (Dean) of Antlers; his brother, Randy Loos (Cindy) of Springfield, MO; and his brother, Philip Loos (Sonia) of Greeley, CO.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on May 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at
Owasso First Methodist Church
13800 E 106th St N.
Owasso, Ok 74055
Service will be officiated by Brian Mangan.
The family suggests donations in Clayton’s memory be made to Owasso First Methodist Church Worship Ministry or to a charity of your choice supporting music education.
