Clayton Walker's Obituary
Clayton Walker, 93 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in Tulsa with his family by his side. He was born February 2, 1925 in Chouteau, Oklahoma to his late parents, Fred Walker and Bessie Bethania Langley Walker.Clayton began his work life by moving to California and learning how to operate heavy equipment. After a couple of years, he moved back to the Tulsa area and married Mary Jane Crawford in 1952. He stayed in the construction business until he retired in 1987. The highlight of his retirement years was spending many days and countless experiences with his two grandsons, Daniel and Travis Call. Clayton and Mary Jane made their home in Tulsa for the remainder of their lives.Clayton was a longtime member of Tulsa Baptist Temple and enjoyed serving in many aspects of the church.Clayton is survived by one daughter, Debra Call and husband Paul of Owasso, Oklahoma; one brother, Ed Walker and wife Mary of Edmond, Oklahoma; two grandsons, Daniel Call and wife Sarah of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Travis Call and wife Robyn of Owasso, Oklahoma; one great-grandson, Carson Call of Owasso, Oklahoma; and a host of friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bessie Walker; his wife, Mary Jane Walker in 2016 and eight siblings.A memorial celebration will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Gentry officiating.In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made in his wife’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association.
