Clifford Burner's Obituary
Clifford Burner, 64, passed away peacefully in Euless, TX on December 26, 2023.
Cliff was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Rex E. Burner and Patricia L. Burner (Mathews). He graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa where he was on the swim team. Cliff went on to pursue a career in industrial and machine rigging, a job that allowed him to move sensitive technical and electrical equipment, including MRI machines, helicopters, and even broadcast towers.
Cliff was a devoted Christian, his faith being very important to him. He was also a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Throughout his life, Cliff was a passionate advocate for preserving and celebrating the traditions of the Choctaw Nation.
Cliff was a man of many passions. He thoroughly enjoyed motorcycles and taking exhilarating rides through the open roads, finding freedom in the wind. He was also fan of science fiction stories, spending time engrossed in novels, films, and documentaries that explored many wonders.
In addition to his love for motorcycles and science fiction, Cliff had an appreciation for hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed spending time in nature, finding peace in the great outdoors. Cliff was also a dedicated history buff, never short on facts to share. His knowledge of the past was both extensive and captivating to those around him.
Most memorably, Cliff had an incredible wit. He brought joy and laugher into any room he was in. No matter the subject of conversation, Cliff was able to generate jokes at an unbelievable speed, impressing and delighting anyone in earshot.
Cliff is survived by his mother Patricia, sister Venecia, brother Frank, daughter Jordan, son Clinton, granddaughter Thea, and his 8 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Rex and brother Steve.
Clifford will be remembered fondly for his unbelievable humor, his generosity, his strong faith, his commitment to family, and his dedication to his career. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens
