Clifford D. "Dee" Davis, Jr.'s Obituary
Clifford D. “Dee” Davis, Jr., 94, of Tulsa, died on Sunday, March 16, 2014. He was born in Springfield, Missouri, on January 24, 1920, the son of Clifford D. “Cliff” and Anna Belle Davis, Sr. He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during WWII, having served on the USS Arthur Middleton in the South Pacific. On May 23, 1952, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Rose McLimans, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dee enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. In the 1950’s and 60’s he was active in the Tulsa Police Auxiliary, and had been a Boy Scout leader with troop 85. He had worked as the storehouse manager at Amoco prior to his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie R. Davis, of Tulsa, two sons, Richard Davis, and his wife, Diane, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Robert “Rob” Davis, and his wife, Leslie, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, brother, Joel E. Davis, and his wife, Jeanne, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, sister in law, Mrs. L.D. “Sue” Davis, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, two grandchildren, Jessica Fike, and her husband, Branden, of Tulsa, David Standridge, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Dee was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Kermit Davis, infant sister, Barbara Davis, brother, Dr. L. Dale Davis, of Wagoner, sister, Frances King, and sister-in-law, Lue Davis, of Ponca City. Memorial donations may be made in his name to Clarehouse, 7617 S Mingo Rd, Tulsa, OK 74133.
