Clifford Edward Martin's Obituary
Clifford Edward Martin, 88, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, passed away on May 10, 2026, in Owasso, Oklahoma.
Clifford was born on July 30, 1937, in Red Fork, Oklahoma, to Clifford A. Martin and Wintress “Boots” Louise Martin. He was raised in the Berryhill area and graduated from Berryhill High School.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, stationed at Altus Air Force Base, and received an honorable discharge on May 28, 1964.
Clifford was a dedicated and hardworking man who spent his career with American Airlines. He was known for being generous and loving, always putting his family first. He cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren and found great joy in being part of their lives.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling, and loved coaching kids’ sports. In his younger years, he also enjoyed traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Wintress Martin; his brother, Clyde Martin; and his granddaughter, Melissa McCarty.
Clifford is survived by his loving wife, Kay F. Martin of the home; his children, Juanita (Steve) McCarty-Holden, Missouri; Charles (Laurie) Martin of Westville, Indiana; Gene (Janice) Almy of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Gayle Lewis of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; and Gerald (Sheila) Almy of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Dustin (Katie) Taber, Paul (Angie) McCarty, Michael (Shelly) Martin, Amber Powell, Chad (Ariana) Almy, LaDonna (Jesse) Ketcher, Jennifer (Larry) Fleming, Kaylee (Kevin) Ascencio, Tayler Lewis, and Tyler Lewis; 19 great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 12:30 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Officiating will be Bruce Almy. Pallbearers will be Dustin Taber, Paul McCarty, Michael Martin, Chad Almy, Tayler Lewis, and Tyler Lewis.
A reception will follow the graveside service. Clifford will be laid to rest with honors at the Field of Honor.
