Clois Dale Mills' Obituary
Clois Dale Mills, 86, was born on April 6, 1931 to David A. Mills and Mabel Mills in Maud, Oklahoma. Dale went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2017. After his parents passed, he was raised by the Gillam and Williams families. He grew up and lived in Tulsa and surrounding areas.Dale went into the military and received an honorable discharge. Dale retired from Belger as an Operating Engineer- he was a member of the International Union of Operation Engineers for 65 years. During that time, he helped build the Keystone Dam and several hospitals in Tulsa.Dale is preceded in death by his parents David and Mabel Mills; the mother of his children Marion Mills, his son Gary Dale Mills, and his late wife Shirley Mills. Dale is survived by his three sons, Randy Mills of Deltona, Fl, Kevin Mills and wife Mary Mills, and Richard Mills and Diana Clark of Tulsa; his grandchildren, April Mills Gaus of Kentucky, Jeremy Mills of Fl, Amy Mills Hodge and husband Jeremy Hodge, Richard Mills Stowell, Amanda Mills Stowell of Indiana, Cleta Silver and husband David Silver, Dennis Tatum, Travis Mills and wife Rebeka Mills, Jacob Benoit of Tulsa, OK,and numerous great- grandchildren and many friends.Dale was an amazing man who loved his family and friends, and spending time with them. He loved going dancing and listening to Danny Davis and the Detours. He enjoyed telling people stories about his life. Dale had a heart of gold and would help anyone he could. He was a sweet and loving man and also stubborn at times. Dale loved old country music, especially Merle Haggard and his favorite song was “Deck of Cards” by T. Texas Tylor. Dale was a true country boy who will be loved and missed dearly by family, friends and many others. ~ R.I.P. Clois Dale Mills~ Gone but not forgotten.Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 31st, Floral Haven Funeral Home.Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 1st, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
