Clyde David Cross Jr.'s Obituary
Clyde David Cross, Jr (known to family as Davey) was born to Clyde David Cross, Sr. and Nell Ruth McGlasson Cross, February 1, 1948, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He departed his earthly body December 16th 2016 of natural causes in Broken Arrow and entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. David married after high school and served in the US Navy for 4 years during the Vietnam War before attending the University of Oklahoma. He received his Bachelor Degree of Architecture in 1978. David worked in this field his entire career. He retired from KPI Architects in 2014 as a Project Manager, producing plans for public schools in California.David and Cindy were married in June, 2002, in Ohio and moved to Oklahoma in 2004. They made their home in Broken Arrow, where they enjoyed their combined families. David loved the OU Sooners and along with his wife Cindy, did not miss any home games as long time season ticket holders. In the off-season, they shared their love of the lake and fishing together with their family.David was preceded in death by his father Clyde David, Sr. and step-mother Marie Cross. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Mae (Harris) Cross. His mother Nell Ruth Drain and step-father Donald N. Drain. His daughter, Jennifer Renee Cross, of Broken Arrow, son Lucas Wayne Cross and wife Manuela of Kileen, Texas. His sisters Donna Kaye Roberts, husband Ronnie of Broken Arrow; Lora Ann Phillips, husband Greg and nephew Joey of Broken Arrow, OK. Step-daughter Tracy Bartlett, husband Stan of Broken Arrow, step-son Rich Nickoson, wife Missey of Scio, Ohio, step-daughter Angela Lyons, husband Cory of Steubenville, Ohio. Grandchildren: Lisa, Jackie, Rachel, Andy, and Jason. Step-grandchildren: Danielle, Charlie, Sam, Sarah, Elizabeth, Richard, Christopher, Sophia, KateLynn, Cory, Surgio, Santino and Shelby; and great grandchildren: Talya and Maria. Step-sisters Dian Breshears, husband Doyle of Claremore and Dawn Heber, husband Rob of Pryor. He is loved by a very large family of uncles, aunts, and cousins.In lieu of flowers, a donation to LifeChurch Mission Outreach would honor David’s love for his church.Viewing will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow.Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at LifeChurch, 2420 E. Kenosha St. in Broken Arrow with Pastor Bryan Hill officiating.Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 2016 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow.Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Navy.
