Clyde "Red" Griffith's Obituary
Clyde “Red” Dewayne Griffith Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, hard work, and community spirit. He is survived by his loving son, Clyde Griffith Jr, and his wife Cynthia. Red’s memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren: Alia Gonzales, Jack Huddle, and Trey Griffith. His great-grandchildren, River, Rosalia, Luna, Raphael, Andromenda, Rodrigo, and Aurora, along with a host of other family and friends, will forever hold him in their hearts.
Red was a skilled carpenter and builder, dedicating many years to the maintenance departments of Tulsa Public Schools and later Jenks Public Schools. His work ethic and dedication were evident in every project he undertook. Red also worked for Jean McQueen, where he further honed his skills and made lasting contributions.
A passionate member of the Booster Club, Red was deeply involved in the community, often seen coaching and supporting the youth at Jenks. His commitment to the Booster Club and coaching left a lasting impact on many students who had the privilege of knowing him. Despite his reputation as “the meanest little boy on the mountain” in his younger years, Red grew to be a figure of kindness and respect, remembered fondly by all who crossed his path.
Red Griffith’s legacy is one of dedication, love, and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
