Colton Ray Cleveland's Obituary
Colton, a sweet, passionate soul, found joy in the simple yet exhilarating pleasures of life. He seemed happiest while on wheels or embarking on adventures. Whether he was skateboarding or snowboarding with the wind in his hair, conquering dirt trails on his beloved dirt bike, or immersing himself in the virtual realms of computer games, Colton embraced every moment with enthusiasm until mental illness and drug addiction gained a stronghold on his mind and spirit. When clear-minded, his spirit soared as high as the Colorado mountains he loved and resonated with the tranquility of the beach. Colton's sense of humor and adventurous heart touched the lives of those around him, leaving behind cherished memories of a promising life ended far too soon, dreams dashed by drugs as he made efforts to find the light. He was his mother’s joy on wheels and his sister’s little brother Coltot. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the vibrancy he brought to our world. He is finally home free and resting in eternal peace. He is survived by his mother Terri Cleveland; his sister Danica Jones, and husband John Cunningham; his aunts and uncles Lisa Petty, and husband Dave; Greg Ketchum and wife Colleen Bailey-Ketchum; Kyle Ketchum and wife Jen; Lynda Cleveland; Paula and husband John Starnes; his extra family Tawny Avonne; YaYa’s Teri Nelson, Kate Engler, Holly Novroski, and Jo Whiles; Nancy Hyman; Kimberly Rozanski; Jill Theis; the Porters; along with a host of other cousins, family and friends that will forever miss and love him. He is reunited with his father Kenny Cleveland.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Colton Ray Cleveland suggests donations to Celebrate Recovery/Abba Compassionate Ministries, https://www.abbacenter.org/, or an organization supporting healing from mental illness.
