Connie Richard Barr's Obituary
John 11:25: “Jesus said I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die he shall live.” On March 5, 2017, heaven received an Angel in C. Richard Barr. He was born in Burlington Junction, Missouri, on June 12th, 1937 to Fred and Esther Barr. He married the love of his life Judy (nee: Kibble) Barr on September 13, 1958. They became the proud parents of four boys and one girl. Richard had a long career as an accountant. Over the years, he worked at Glidden Paint, Coca Cola, NAPA and more. He especially enjoyed his last employment at Bridgefarmer & Associates in Dallas, Texas. Richard was very skilled with numbers and was also very talented at flipping houses and condominiums with his best friend, Tommy Clark. This gave him great enjoyment but his greatest happiness came from his sons. He enjoyed watching all their boyhood activities and was proud to see them all become college graduates and good family men. Richard was blessed with the privilege of seeing his grandchildren grow up and he even became a great grandfather. Richard was preceded in death by his infant daughter Mary Ruth, his brother, Lowell Barr, his daughter-in-law Michele and his parents Fred and Esther Barr. Richard is survived by his wife Judy, sons John Richard (Cheryl), Michael Raymond (Kim), Steven Roger (Jeannette) and Craig Robert, sister in law Twyla Barr, sister in law Mary Romero (Peter), sister in law Ruth Belding (Donald), 10 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Cancer Treatment Center of America and Good Shepherd Hospice for their care, support, and kindness to our Richard. Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 8th, Floral Haven Funeral Home. Services will be held at Floral Haven on March 9, 2017 @ 3:00 PM.
