Constance "Connie" Sue Stewart's Obituary
Constance (Connie) S. Stewart of Tulsa, OK passed away on Monday February 16, 2026, at the age of 85 with her husband by her side.
Connie was born in El Dorado, KS on August 11, 1940, to Oren and Dorothy Biles. She grew up on their family farm and loved to ride horses and was an accomplished barrel rider. In High School she met her future husband Monte Stewart and they graduated together in 1958 from Eldorado High School.
In 1961 Connie started her career path and went to work with Eastern Airlines as a flight attendant. She worked for Eastern for 30 years and retired as a Senior Flight Attendant. While with Eastern Airlines she was stationed in New York, Miami, Atlanta and finally Tulsa. Her time with Eastern took her to many exciting locations which gave her a love to travel.
After many years apart, Connie and Monte reconnected and were married on September 19, 1988, in Carmel, CA and were together for 37 wonderful years. Her love of travel awakened Monte’s love of travel and they travelled all over the world together. During their time together Monte got her interested in golf and as part of their travels, in the summers they played many great courses around the country with all their friends and family. When winter came, they would then switch to skiing, which they loved as well.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents Oren and Dorothy Biles and her sister Darlene Peterson. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Monte Stewart, her stepson Monte Stewart Jr. and his wife Suzy, step grandson Monte (Beau) Stewart III, nieces Lori Brown and her husband Kent, Machelle Good and their children Abby Clopton and husband Austin, Robert (Rob) Lippold and his wife Krysta, Benjamin (Ben) Lippold and his wife Emily, Kelsy Baker and her husband Brandon and Courtney Scherzer and her husband Nate.
A memorial service honoring her life will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday February 27, 2026, at Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow OK. We would love to have friends and family join us at a reception following the service.
