Cora Mae Williamson's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Cora Mae (Clark) Williamson, born on January 16, 1925, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the parents of Paul and Nettie Mae (Eubanks) Clark. Cora passed from this life with her loving family by her side. Cora was the 3rd of 3 children. Her sisters, Pauline Albitz and Aileene Wampler her special friends. She attended Bartlesville College High, where she earned her high school diploma. Cora lived in Tulsa, Bartlesville, San Diego, California and Pryor but mainly in Tulsa. Cora’s niece, Donna Boyle and John’s son, John Williamson were friends. One day Donna asked John if he thought his dad, John would want to go out with her Aunt Cora. The rest is history. Cora Mae Clark married the love of her life, John Russell Williamson on October 16, 1964, at the Tulsa Baptist Temple in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cora was a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church, where she was heavily involved. She was energetic, creative, always happy and positive, and loved her grandchildren. Looking back over her life, she had two wonderful husbands and her children were the most important to her. Cora loved floral designing, square dancing, church, camping, and traveling. Clair De Lune, Lawrence Welk, and polka were her favorite music and songs. Cora is survived by her doting husband, John Williamson; her children, Judy (Beams) Sampson of Mooreland, Oklahoma, Bill Beams and wife, Janet of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bob Beams and his wife, Salequa of Greenwood, Arkansas, John Williamson and his wife, Wanda of Owasso, and Eileen (Williamson) Plemmons and her husband, Mark of Claremore, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and her favorite dog, Ozzie. Cora was preceded in death by her parents, Paul R. Clark and Nettie Mae (Eubanks) Clark; and two sisters, Pauline Albitz and Aileene Wampler.
