Corey John Ehlen's Obituary
Corey John Ehlen, 62, died Saturday, July, 7th, 2016, at his home in Tulsa. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Corey was born on August 29, 1953, in Sioux Falls, SD, to John and Dorothy Ehlen. In 1961 the family moved to Tulsa. Corey graduated from East Central High School in 1971 and then attended OSU. He worked as an electrical technician for Burtek for several years. From the time he was a little boy Corey was fascinated with mechanics and loved to tinker with tools and engines just like his father. He also had a passion for aviation and loved to read anything he could get his hands on about WWII aircraft and their aviators. Corey enjoyed going to air shows when the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds came to town. Survivors include two children and one son-in-law, John Ehlen of Flagstaff, AZ, and Tiffany and Louis Avila of Tucson, AZ; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Susan Ehlen of Tulsa and Patty and Steve Harrison of McAlester and three grandchildren, Helen, Iris and Margaret Avila of Tucson, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Ehlen. Private family service to be held.
