Cutberto Lopez Zepeda's Obituary
Cutberto ‘Beto’ López, 90, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away on the morning of 25th of June, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Beto was born on March 20, 1935 in Mexico City, Mexico to Ramón López Velázquez and Victoria Zepeda de López
Beto’s life was filled with adventures, from climbing Mt. Popocatépetl, serving as goalkeeper for Atlante F.C., opening numerous restaurants, to achieve the American dream. His zest for life was topped only by his love for his family and his faith. His passion was evident in all that he did whether he was cooking for his family, or cutting up the dance floor. Beto’s influence spanned from Mexico City to Chicago, San Diego, and Tulsa. In his great life he witnessed seven generations of the López family and his love, passion, and faith will live on in them for many more.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sylvia López, and his mother and father Ramón López Velázquez and Victoria Zepeda de López, brothers Ramón López Zepeda, Daniel López Zepeda, and Gonzalo López Zepeda and his son in-law William A. Cicco.
His legacy lives on through his children, Sylvia Cicco, Carmen (Charles) Bohannan, Victoria Eugenia López Osuna, Alberto (Becky) López, Ramon (Kellie) López, and Emmanuel (Bridget) López, his grandchildren, Jeannine (Sean) Barker, Jade Cicco, Jessica Cicco, Juliana Cicco, Caleb (Taylor) López, Dannielle López, Olivia López and Ramon López and his great-grandchildren, Noah Cicco and Augustin López,his brothers Adolfo(Norma) López Zepeda and Domingo (Elva) López Zepeda, his sister Maria Eugenia López Zepeda. He is also lovingly remembered by extended family in Mexico and the United States, whose lives he touched deeply.
A memorial service will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, OK on Friday July 18 at 12:30 PM
