Cynthia Lee Anderson's Obituary
Cynthia (Cindy) Lee Anderson age 69 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma was called home to the Lord on July 21, 2017 with family and friends at her side.Cindy is preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law Barbara Phillips.Cindy, also known as Nena to her grandchildren, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on November 4, 1947, to Woodrow Lee and Estelle Marjorie (Mitchell) Jenkins. She graduated Webster High School and continued her education at Rogers State University.Cindy was an administrative assistant for one company for over 30 years even though its name changed numerous times. One of her “favorite” eras was when she answered the phone “Hello this is Cindy from Vivindi”.Cindy was the mother of two children, Amy and Scott, and a second mom to countless more. She made a home filled with love and laughter. She loved to garden, anything outdoors, crafts, reading, listening to music, exploring the country on long RV trips and on the back of a Harley. She was married at sunset on a beach in Maui, Hawaii. Cindy was a woman of Faith and loved the Lord and His word above all else. She was always hungry for God’s word and His love always shined through her.Cindy leaves behind a family she dearly loved that includes her husband, Bob Anderson of Broken Arrow, OK; two children, daughter Amy and her husband Neil Brewster of Claremore, OK; son Scott Barton of Tulsa, OK; two granddaughters, Jorden Taylor and her husband Brycen Short of Colorado Springs, CO; and Konner Logan Prelesnick of Claremore, OK; stepdaughter Sara and her husband Travis Dearmon of Bixby, OK; stepson Justin and his wife Fawna Anderson of Tulsa, OK; three step-granddaughters Josephine and Sadie Dearmon and Ava Anderson; two brothers Jim Phillips of Springdale, AR and brother Ken Jenkins of Harrah, OK.Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2017 in the chapel at Floral Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery. Pastor Henry Penix will officiate. An after-service gathering will be held in the Floral Haven Family Center.
