Cynthia Fisher's Obituary
Cynthia Lou “Cyndi” Fisher, of Skiatook, Oklahoma (formerly of Tulsa area), went to be with our heavenly father on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born May 19, 1944 in Duncan, OK to her parents, James “Otto” Wiles and Willie “Oma” Posey Wiles.Cyndi, upon graduating high school, received her Diploma of Nursing from Hillcrest. Cyndi then changed her focus from caring for patients to caring for her family and enjoyed staying at home and raising her children. After her children were grown, her desire to care for others persuaded Cyndi to go back to school and earn her LPN degree. Cyndi worked in a hospital in Panama City, FL and worked for years at Drumright Hospital where she took great joy in caring for her patients and creating lifelong friendships with her coworkers.Cyndi had a gentle spirit and always had a smile on her face and kind words for anyone she knew or met. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing softball. Cyndi had a keen mind when it came to fixing things, and she loved the challenge of finding out how things worked. She loved to travel and saw many places in the world. She had an adventurous soul and went sky diving and rode motorcycles. Her favorite place to be, though, was the beach and ocean more than any place in the world. For a short period of time she even lived on St. George Island and enjoyed its beauty.Cyndi is survived by one son, Dr. Harry Chayne Fisher (fiancé Amanda Wright) of Seminole, OK; two daughters, Michelle Lynn Williams, RN (Jay) of Skiatook, OK and Joey Darlene Gursky, RN of Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Patricia Kay Shanklin (Ray) of St. George, UT and Rue Wiles of Oklahoma City, OK; her loving grandchildren: Cody Fisher, Bailey Fisher, Zoey Fisher, Cameron Fisher, Parker Fisher, Cammie Robinson (Daniel), Garrick Postier, Branton Postier, Camdan Postier, Dorian Gursky, Bella Gursky and Greyson Gursky; her great-grandchildren Abigail, Luke & Ella Robinson, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Kim Cooper. We would like to reach out and say thank you to all the home health and hospice services from Millennium as well as our friends Cathi S. and Dawn P., who came into our home and cared for and comforted Cyndi in her time of need. There will be a private memorial service to celebrate Cyndi. Please reach out to her family for details if you wish to join them in memorializing Cyndi’s life.
