Cynthia Ann Hill's Obituary
Cynthia Ann Kuykendall Hill (Cindy) died unexpectedly and peacefully at home in Tulsa, OK at the age of 67. Cindy is survived by her mother, Glenna Kuykendall of the home; Mike Kuykendall, brother of Cleveland, OK; John Kuykendall, brother of Tulsa, OK; and Shannon Hill, stepson of Germantown, MD. Cindy is preceded in death by her father, James E. Kuykendall and husband, D. Scott Hill. Cindy was born on July 6, 1948, in Checotah, OK to James and Glenna Kuykendall. Cindy grew up in Tulsa, OK, graduated from Will Rogers High School and Southeastern State University. After college Cindy moved to Bakersfield, CA then later Dallas, TX, before returning to the Tulsa area. Cindy married Scott Hill in 1988 and they lived in Sapulpa, OK. Cindy worked as an Event Coordinator in both the corporate and non-profit worlds. Cindy was the consummate hostess, entertaining friends and family – and always pets – for holidays and special events. She made everyone feel welcome in her home, and invited anyone without a place to join her family during the holidays. Cindy was known as “Auntie” by her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. From soccer games to school awards shows and scout ceremonies, Cindy was an ever-present force in their lives and she always encouraged them to think and dream big. As an accomplished world traveler, Cindy loved to explore new places and experience different cultures, visiting 3 continents and over 20 countries. A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, October 3 at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Haven Chapel in Broken Arrow, with a reception to follow at 11519 South Erie. Reverend Phillip Stephens of South Tulsa Baptist Church will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cindy’s life.
