Cynthia Rose Hunt's Obituary
Cynthia Rose Hunt, age 80, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away on July 19, 2025. She was born on October 31, 1944, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Drexel D. Baker and Dorothy E. Baker.
Cynthia, known affectionally by all as Cindy, spent her early years in Ada before her family settled in Tulsa, where she graduated from Tulsa Edison High School in 1963. She began her career with Shell Oil and later moved to Oklahoma City in 1968. She went on to work at The Federal Home Loan Bank, where she eventually retired.
Cindy’s life was full of love, laughter, and lasting friendships. She cherished spending time with her family, which was her biggest passion in life. They meant everything to her and she made sure they were aware of the love she carried for them. Cindy never missed a gathering with her beloved card group and sorority sisters unless it was absolutely unavoidable. Her presence lit up every room, and her commitment to those she loved was unwavering.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her eldest brother Drexel D. Baker Jr.
Cindy is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Daniel A. Hunt, and their children: Darren Daniel Hunt (Priscilla) of Rockwall, TX; James A. Hunt of Thomas, OK; and Crystal R. Salinas of Oklahoma City, OK. She also leaves behind her brothers Michael D. Baker of Palm Desert, CA, and Brian D. Baker of Tulsa, OK. Also left to cherish her legacy are her grandchildren: Hannah (Garrett) Savage, Aidan D. Hunt, Collin Iannelli, Amy Salinas, Jordan Iannelli, Braden Iannelli, Will Salinas, Emerson Iannelli, and Aulin Hunt. Also along with many other extended family members and friends who will forever cherish the light that Cindy brought into their lives. She will be remembered for her warmth, loyalty, and infectious personality.
A memorial service will be held Thursday July 24th at 10am at St. Luke’s Methodist Church Edmond Campus at 900 N Sooner Rd Edmond, OK 73034
Followed by a grave site service at 3:30 at Floral Haven Cemetery at 6500 S. 129th E Avenue Broken Arrow, OK 74012
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to her sorority, Delta Theta Chi.
