Cynthia Renee Travis' Obituary
Cynthia Renee Travis was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma on October 23, 1959 and passed this life on February 28, 2008. She attended Broken Arrow High School and was one of the valedictorians in the graduating class of 1977. She received her B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Oklahoma State University in 1981. After graduation, she worked for several management consulting firms, specializing in hospital automation software. She joined the family business in 1995, and was in charge of developing and implementing manufacturing processes as well as maintaining and updating the computer operations systems and networks. A Vice President of Hydrant Repair Parts, Inc., D&B Machining, Inc., P&T, L.L.C, FasCast Inc., and Hestonaho, L.L.C., she also served as secretary/treasurer on the board of directors for these same companies. Cindy enjoyed nature, and took pleasure hiking in the Ray Harral Nature Park near her home. She had a deep love of animals, and assisted various animal aid programs with donations, rescue efforts, adoptions and education. The annual Nature Works Art Show, which promotes wildlife education and conservation along with art, was an event she thoroughly enjoyed and supported. Cindy was generous with her time and resources for employees and friends in time of need. An intelligent, strong-willed woman, with a keen sense of humor and a surprisingly soft heart, Cindy was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. A memorial service was held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008, Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
