Dale Coyan's Obituary
Dale Wayne Coyan, age 60, departed this life on October 21, 2025.
Dale was mentally handicapped since birth. He didn’t let that stop him. Dale faced a lot of obstacles but had many triumphs too. He overcame a lot more than we ever expected.
He never met a stranger without asking them who their favorite football team was. Of course, his was the Dallas Cowboys.
Dale was a big country music fan, especially Dolly Parton. He always said he wanted to drive her bus.
He loved WWE, The Bounty Hunter, Cops, and music shows. Dale had a lot of movies he liked. He also loved to fish, especially if you baited and unhooked his fish for him. He loved his dog Petey who had been with him for over ten years. He called him Petey Pie.
Dale tried many jobs. He had a lot of wonderful job coaches, PC’s, and staff during his lifetime. His family will always be grateful to the people who helped him succeed. His longest job was at Mazzio’s where he worked for over 20 years making boxes and doing janitorial work. He volunteered at Catholic Charities until his health worsened. He met a lot of friends there. He always said he retired from there.
Dale will be forever loved and missed by all whose lives he touched.
Dale is survived by his Mother Darlene Coyan, sister Cathy Carpenter and wife Anna; niece Casey Peterson and husband Jeromy; grandnephew J.J., and grandniece Jersey, all of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Lots of special aunts and uncles, several cousins, and many friends.
