Godfrey, Dale Lee's Obituary
Dale Lee Godfrey, born on January 9, 1948, in La Junta, Colorado, passed away on February 5, 2025, in Alva, Oklahoma. He was the beloved son of Grandon William and Myrtle Mae Godfrey.
Dale dedicated his career to John Christner Trucking, where he served as Vice President of Maintenance, Petro Choice and Oklahoma Kansas Co Op. His commitment to his community was evident through his roles as an EMT, volunteer firefighter, and EMT instructor. Dale's passion for helping others and his dedication to public service left a lasting impact on many lives.
He cherished spending time with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Dale is survived by his loving wife, Bobbie Godfrey; his children, Lisa DeGroot and her husband Tom, and Michael and his wife Tricia Cannon; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jamie, Jaide, Zane, Piper, and Cade; and his great-grandchildren, Kage, Kohen, Kalum, Krew, Cash, Rhiode, and Kyzer. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Ginger Armstrong; brother-in-law, Mike Flynt and his wife Barbara; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Grandon and Myrtle Godfrey; his brother, Gordon Godfrey and his wife Judy; and his mother-in-law, Betty Flynt.
A funeral service to honor Dale's life will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Dale's legacy of service, love, and dedication will be remembered by all who knew him.
