Dale Postoak's Obituary
Dale Postoak 85, of Okemah/Checotah Oklahoma passed away August 4th, 2021. Dale was born June 9th 1936 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to AE “Chief” & Grace (Kindle) Postoak. Dale was saved and baptized at the Red Fork Baptist Church. Dale graduated from Berryhill High School in 1955 then attended Bacone Indian University, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Dale was very proud of his Creek Indian heritage. In 1957 Dale joined the Army and served through 1959. Dale then owned a Texaco station until joining the Pipefitters Union. When retired Dale became a fulltime cattle rancher. Dale had a love for music and was an accomplished musician and singer.
Dale was preceded in death by his daughter Kelli Jo, his parents, 1 brother John and his grandson Taylor Postoak.
Survivors include: Life partner Jeanine of the home. One son Monty Postoak of Mannford, Oklahoma; Stepdaughters Tonia Correll of Ozark, Arkansas; Brandi & Junior Foster of Floral, Arkansas; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Celebration of Dale’s life will be held at New Home Freewill Baptist Church, Tulsa (Berryhill), Oklahoma on September 23, 2021. Visitation and meal 11:30, service at 1:00. Interment at Floral Haven Cemetery following the service.
