Dale Roberts' Obituary
Dale Edward Roberts, 65, was born on February 17, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Troy and Fannie Roberts. He left this world and began his new journey on July 3, 2019 while at home with family at his bedside.Dale was a man of great faith, wisdom, and compassion. He enjoyed working with youth and young married couples and valued his time as a missionary to the Sioux Nation. He cherished the many friendships he gained along the way.Dale has been described as genuine, kind, honest, dedicated, and compassionate. His greatest passion was for his family and home life. He was proud of his daughters, proud of all his grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and proud of his nieces and nephews.Dale enjoyed a variety of music, attending concerts, reading books of all types from quantum physics to the Incredible Dr. Pol, working in the yard (which was a mystery to many), watching the history channel and cooking shows, and old TV reruns, outdoor grilling, rescuing animals, and playing pranks (even up to the end).In August of 2018, Dale learned he had cancer. He bravely fought for his life with a vengeance, determination, faith, and humor.Dale is preceded in death by his father Troy J. Roberts, brother Larry W. Roberts, and grandson Kevin Miller.He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Glenda Roberts; mother Fannie Roberts of Tahlequah; brother David and his wife Patricia Roberts of Fayetteville, Arkansas; daughter Lisa and husband Waylon Glass of Tahlequah; daughter Cyndi and husband Brent Wolf of Tulsa; grandchildren Stacy, Samantha, and Skylar Glass, Kailey Miller, and Rylan Wolf; great granddaughter Phoenix Glass and soon to be great granddaughter Thea Shad; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and loved ones.Visitation will be from 5pm – 8pm on Monday, July 8 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Services will be at 10 am on Tuesday, July 9 at the Floral Haven Chapel.
