Dana Drue Armentrout's Obituary
Dana Armentrout, 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 18th, 2025, surrounded by her dear family. She was born on January 22nd, 1929, to parents Shirley Jay Roark and Nola Marie (Adam’s) Roark in Frederick, Oklahoma.
Born with a strong will and a loving heart, Dana lived her life as a pillar of strength and guidance for those she loved. She was a natural leader in her family, someone who could be counted on for wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional acceptance. Dana opened her heart to everyone, welcoming people as if they had always belonged.
She loved to dance, never missing a chance to move to the music, and she was a fierce competitor at the card table. Whether it was Mexican Train or another favorite game, Dana was known for her sharp mind and her frequent wins—though she made sure the laughter and togetherness were always more important than the score. She also enjoyed dressing up in style and could often be found completing even the hardest of puzzles, a testament to her patience and determination.
Dana’s deep faith in Jesus Christ guided her life. She found joy in living through God, and her strong belief was reflected in her kindness, her compassion, and her unwavering love for her family. Above all else, Dana cherished her beloved son, Terry, who was the light of her life.
Dana’s legacy is one of love, strength, and devotion. Her family and friends will carry her memory in their hearts forever, grateful for the time they shared with such an extraordinary woman.
Dana was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 56 years, Charles Ray (Chuck) Armentrout, her brother Rocky and daughter Connie.
She is survived by her son Terry and wife Valerie, multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of Dana’s life will be held on September 12th, 2025, at 2pm at Floral Haven. All who knew and loved her are welcome.
