I had the pleasure of knowing Dan at Millsaps College from 1972-1975, where we studied geology; especially, the month we spent at field camp in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Boy, we had great fun. I will always remember him fondly. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Adios, old friend.

What a character. Will never forget us playing golf at Costa Rica in the warm gentle rain. Parrots flying over us and various animals we had never seen before all around. I’ll miss sharing info with him. Hard to believe he’s gone.
Trayson always loved learning about rocks from Mr. Dan. He will forever be a superhero in our home.
