Daniel Jay Krick's Obituary
Daniel Jay Krick - A Life Filled with Love, Laughter, and Unforgettable Memories
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Daniel
"Dan" Jay Krick, who left us far too soon on October 1st, 2025, at the age of 42. Dan was born on February 26th, 1983, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Ann and Robert Krick. He was the cherished son of Ann and Robert, and grew up in Broken Arrow alongside his siblings, Jenifer, Tammy, Melissa, and his brother Earl, who all shared in the warmth of his love and affection.
Dan's presence was a light in the lives of all who knew him. He had a love for life that was infectious, and his family and friends will forever remember his laughter, his bright spirit, and his unshakable optimism. As a child, he excelled in sports like baseball, basketball, and bowling. He gave his heart to each game he played, and even after his physical abilities changed, he continued to inspire others with his courage and strength. His participation in the Special Olympics meant the world to him, and it was a testament to his determination and zest for life.
Throughout his life, Dan cherished his family above all else. He loved gathering with his loved ones for holidays and celebrations, with Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween, and especially the Fourth of July being his favorite times to create lasting memories with those he held dear. His home was always a place of laughter, love, and warmth, and anyone who visited could feel the joy that radiated from him.
In the mid-2010s, Dan moved to Chelsea, Oklahoma, to live with his devoted mother, Ann, until her passing in 2018. Following her death, Dan was lovingly cared for by his sister Tammy and her husband, Norman Reynolds. His bond with his family only grew stronger during this time, and he was truly blessed to be surrounded by such love and devotion.
Eventually, Dan moved into his own home, where he continued to make new friends— friends who quickly became family. His ability to form deep and lasting connections with others was one of the gifts that defined him.
Dan now joins his parents, Ann and Robert, as well as his brother Earl, and many other family members and friends who went before him. His wings now carry him to a place of peace, but his absence leaves an irreplaceable hole in our hearts. We take comfort in knowing that his love for us, his laughter, and his indomitable spirit will live on in our memories forever.
Dan will miss more than words can express. His family, his friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him will carry him with them, always. Rest in peace, Dan. You were loved beyond measure, and you will never be forgotten.
