Daniel Edwin RogersDaniel Edwin Rogers was born October 7, 1938 in Fort Smith Arkansas to Charley and Beatrice Coxey Rogers. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 28, 2018 at the age of 79. Daniel became known to everyone as “Buddy” at a very young age. He graduated from Fort Gibson High School in 1957. Buddy went to work delivering groceries at Boatright’s General Store in Fort Gibson while still in High School. He was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard in 1959. He was retired from Ford Glass in 2007 after loyally serving them for 30 years. He married his wife Beverly Franklin in 1991 and they had 27 wonderful years together.Buddy loved to travel and was an avid sports fan, always rooting for the OKC Thunder, the St. Louis Cardinals, KC Chiefs, and all Oklahoma College teams. But what was more enjoyable to him than any of the big boy games were those that involved his grandchildren, never missing a game. Buddy was also a NASCAR fan and one of the unforgettable highlights of his life was a ride around the Richard Petty Race Track in Orlando, Florida.In addition to his loving wife, Beverly, Buddy is survived by his daughters, Dana Rogers, and Cindy Verbos and husband Steve. He was also considered a Father to his three children who came into his life later, Charles Franklin and wife Trisha, Shenna Franklin and wife Maureen Kile Franklin, and Sheila Rogers. Brother, William Rogers; Sisters, Shirley Thomas and husband John, and Helen Haynes. He was also blessed with 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.A memorial service will be held Monday, June 4 at 2:00 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home, 6500 South 129th East Avenue, Broken Arrow, OK.
