Daniel Herbert Swartz III's Obituary
Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of Daniel Herbert Swartz, III, a man whose
laughter could light up a room and whose love knew no bounds. Born on September 2, 1950, in
Waukegan, Illinois, Daniel lived a life filled with adventure, joy, and an unwavering devotion to those he held dear.
Daniel was the beloved husband of Thuy Thi Bich Nguyen Swartz and their two children Dylan Nguyen Swartz and Danielle Nguyen Swartz. Thuy was the love of his life with whom he
shared a bond that grew stronger every day. From the moment they met, their love story unfolded
like a beautiful destiny. Together, they created countless memories filled with joy, laughter, and a
deep understanding that only they could share.
Known for his infectious sense of humor, Daniel loved to make others laugh and smile. His jokes
often masked a sincerity that those close to him knew well; beneath his playful exterior was one of
the most honest and genuine individuals you could ever meet. He had a way of bringing happiness
to others, always thinking of ways to care for those around him.
Daniel's passion for nature was evident in his love for travel and outdoor activities. He embraced all
that Mother Nature had to offer—hiking mountain ranges, bicycling, running, walking, and exploring
the great outdoors. His adventurous spirit was an inspiration to all who knew him.
His favorite holidays were Halloween and Christmas, times he cherished for the opportunity to
spend quality moments with his family. Daniel delighted in creating lasting memories during these
special times, his home filled with warmth, laughter, and the joy of togetherness.
Daniel's life was a testament to unconditional love and generosity. He was known for being
supportive and generous, always extending a helping hand to those in need. His love for pets and all
creatures great and small was yet another reflection of his kind-hearted spirit.
Even in times of illness, Daniel found ways to express his love to his wife, communicating in
gestures that spoke volumes. His love was steadfast, enduring, and will continue to inspire those
who knew him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven
Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
Daniel's memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His laughter, his love, and
his joyful spirit are gifts that will continue to bring smiles and warmth to all who were fortunate
enough to know him.
The family is accepting flowers and donations. For any donations made under Daniel Swart, the fund is going directly to Dylan and Danielle, the two of his beautiful children.
